This was my favorite Pho place back when I was living in Boston about a decade ago. I recently went back for dinner on a Friday and I forgot how packed it can get given that it's a pretty small place inside. I usually always order the Pho Tai, but I don't remember (or perhaps) forgot that they also have Thai food. This time I got the Koi Sao with Crispy Chicken which was really good!

Pho Basil is one of our favorite Vietnamese spots whether it's eating there or getting delivery - always great! Food is consistently good, fresh, tasty. We ordered on the snow day a couple days ago as I was craving a bowl of hot soup on the cold wintery day. So the delivery took a bit longer but that was to be expected. I got the Pho chay which is the vegetable pho soup and my new fave since the last few times I've had it. And it was great - very hearty with tofu lots of crunchy veggies and noodles. The best part is the broth - it is so good, it's savory and slightly sweet - it's what makes the soup absolutely delicious!! Hubs got the pho ga chicken soup and enjoyed it. In addition we also ordered the curry puffs which are like empanadas stuffed with potatoes. And the dumplings with chicken were yummy. Also ordered the Saigon noodles with chicken. Had plenty of leftovers- always awesome!! Been there in the restaurant a few times and inside was cozy too. Highly recommend!!

A great Pho place on Mass Ave that was bustling on a Sunday evening. I ordered online about 15 minutes before and my order was just about ready when I was there for pickup. The packaging is great as they separate the broth from the noodles and meat. They also have a little baggy of bean sprouts, like, and a packet of hoisan sauce. I took everything out into a bowl to reheat and it tasted just like you would get in the restaurant. The broth is sweet and the meat is tender. This is a perfect place to warm up on a cold winter day.

Went another time after being disappointed the first and was much more impressed. Noodles were delicious and plentiful, broth was yummy. The tripe was good. Meat was a little too fatty for me, but otherwise good. Service was better this time! It is quite crowded in there but with how big the line stayed, you can't blame them for shoving you in like sardines. Heads up if you are celiac/gluten free. This place has a whole gluten free menu (great!) but they'll ask if contamination is ok before serving you (not great). My friend is celiac and didn't seem to be glutened after, but just a heads up.

Checked this place out and was very impressed! This place has been on my list for a bit, so it was nice to finally get to experience. We got there and the restaurant was full with a small line of people. We joined the waiting list and only had to wait 15 to 20 minutes before we were able to get a table. The ambience inside is nice. It's definitely packed with a lot of people when all the tables are full, but you're still spread out enough where you don't feel too cramped. Our service was also great the whole night and all of the servers were kind and welcoming when they came up to the table and even while we were waiting for our table to be prepped. The menu is very extensive with lots of options! I appreciated all of the indicators on the menu to show different dietary cues for spiciness or whether it was vegan or vegetarian. There is also a vegan section in the menu that covers all the items that are vegan as is. Definitely a good amount of options and something for everyone. I tried the veggie tofu curry. It was really good and indicated as spicy. I found that it wasn't too spicy. It was enough that you could taste the spice, but it wasn't overwhelming. I appreciated that the curry came with rice instead of being an add-on cost as it is with some places. I thought it was pretty good portions for the cost. If you're wanting to try multiple dishes, the portions are definitely good enough for sharing. I also got a Thai iced tea with espresso and was so excited to learn that they had an oat milk option so that it was vegan. It's been a long time since I've been able to have a Thai iced tea and I thought it was really good! I would definitely go back and get it again.

Pho Basil is located across campus so it tends to get busy quick. We came here as a group of five on a Saturday at opening. We were seated immediately but the place quickly filled up. We ordered different variations of pho and everyone loved their orders. The rice noodles were thin and chewy and absorbed the tasty broth. My mala pho was not as spicy as expected but delicious nonetheless.

I liked the duck noodle soup. We put our names on the Yelp waitlist beforehand. All of the seats were taken in the restaurant showing that it's a popular place. They have both Vietnamese and Thai food. I also had lychee juice and it came with four lychees which i liked.

This pho was amazing. Got egg noodle instead of vermicelli. Put a bunch of hoisin and hot sauce SO GOOD. Sesame wings were yum with good flavor. Thai tea was perfect, not too sweet. Service was really good the employees are kind and food comes out rlly quick. Restaurant is clean and gets a lot more full around dinner time. I took off a star just because the side of bean sprouts and basil they gave us was very small. The bean sprouts were a bit soggy too.

Very popular. I came on a Friday night and not only was it packed but it was a 40 minute wait. Normally I would not wait but in this case it worked because I was attending an outdoor concert across the street. It is a self-check-in QR system. You can keep track of your place in line via your device. I had the dac biet pho and sesame wings. It was the first evening with a chill in the air and the soup hit the spot. Not sure it's the traditional preparation because I usually have it with a clear broth, but it was a flavor bomb. I also like how the rare beef is presented mostly rare, which allows you to cook it your prepared level of preference. The chicken wings had a nice coating of sauce. It is not battered and cold use an extra minute for crispiness but cravable. I like the accompanying greens and pickles. On the other hand, the pho could have used more. It only had basil and bean sprouts. I am amazed at the friendly and attentive staff. Like I said they were non-stop busy. I also like the diversity the staff. All Asian but different parts of Asia. I also appreciate how they stick to your place in line no matter how large or small your party.
